Restoring a Partition with recovery media

You can restore a hard disk or a partition from an image file stored on another hard disk, partition, or external media using the Restore Wizard from the recovery media. To restore from image files, insert the bootable Recovery CD or bootable USB Flash Drive, and then restart your computer via the CD drive or the USB Flash Drive.

cdmain2Step 1: In the Keriver Image Recovery Main window, click 'Start->Restore From Image'.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

restorep2Step 2: In the left panel, select the image file from which to restore.

In the right panel, information of the selected image file will be displayed.

Click 'Next' to continue.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

restorep3Step 3:Select a point-in-time you would like to restore the system to.

Then click 'Next' to continue.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

restorep4Step 4: Select a partition contained within the selected image file you wish to restore.

In the left panel, information of the selected partition will be displayed.

Then, click 'Next'.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

restorep5Step 5: Select the destination partition to which the image will be written.

In the left panel, information of the selected partition will be displayed.

If you select 'Restore Sector by Sector', the Restore Wizard will performs a sector-by-sector restore of the partition. This bypasses use of native file system functions.

If a file system is not supported or is corrupted, Keriver Image can restore data using a sector-by-sector approach to overcome disabling errors.

Then, click 'Next'.

 

 

restorep6Step 6: Confirm the restore settings and click 'Next' to start the Restore process.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

restorep7Step 7: After the Restore procedure is completed, the 'Cancel' button will become the 'Done' button. Click on it to finish.
